Mai Tai 2009

I just got back from a week long trip to Maui to kitesurf with some of the top talent in the technology, entrepreneur world. It is both a networking event, kiteboaring shin dig and an overall great time meeting some fantastic people. Top CEO's, Presidents and talened minds were represented from companies such as; Imeem, hotwire, tesla motors, Shazaam, Tripit, Facebook and more! It was simply an honor to have been invited.

This is our group as we sit and listen to Neil Pryde (famous wind/kitesurf maker of sails, wet suits) and Pete Cabrinha (surfing legend and one of the top kiteboarding brands) talk about business, how their business has changed over the last 20 years and tips about how to stay inspired. Basically LOVE what you do and the rest follows!

Here's a picture I took of the famous Maui "Kite Beach." We got to kite with some of the top talent in the industry! Plus the warm water was out of control amazing!

We had wind every day but one. On that day a couple of us went on a helicopter tour around the island. WOW!!!

Overall the trip was fantastic and far exceeded my expectations! It was great getting to talk about the journey of our businesses and share where we see the future of the internet and technology going. It was a BIG recharge to the mental batteries and a great "Get Away" to balance. I am now back in the Bay Area and more stoked than ever!
