Animation Mentor is on the move!

In Novemeber Animation Mentor will move to a new office space in Emeryville. My CFO and I have narrowed it down to 3 SUPER COOL spaces. Any one of them would be a great new home for AM.
So why am I writing about this? Well it marks a BIG milestone for the company. It means that we've been in operation for a little over 3 years. Knowing that so many businesses don't last to see their 3rd year makes me think that we have something very special here and that's something to be thankful for.
It seems almost like yesterday that I sat down with our landlord to negotiate the lease of our current space. Was I nervous? Hell yeah, I remember walking up the stairs to their conference room thinking, "I'm just a kid, they're not going to lease this space to me." Then, just before I opened the door I took a deep breath and thought to myself, "I have nothing to lose, I'm going to go in there and be as confident as I can." Not only did I get the lease but I actually got a great deal on it, too! Our landlord has been great and I'm so happy they took a chance on us.

The space we currently occupy almost feels like home, but our 3 year lease is up and the company is spread out over 3 different office spaces and I want to get everyone together again under one roof so we can be all together again.
Shopping around for new office space is like looking for a new appartment or home. There's a blank canvas and you have to use your imagination to dream up "what could be." Thank goodness for TLC, and The Home and Garden channel! :)
Overall I'm really excited about the move and about the spaces we've looked at. Here are a couple pictures from one of the spaces we looked at. Enjoy.
